On May 16, Mr. MARTIN, Chief Scientist of Schaeffler, and his delegation visited our institute by invitation. Wang Huying, Party Secretary of the institute, and Associate Dean Wu had in-depth talks with Mr. MARTIN on university-enterprise cooperation and talent cultivation. Li Xinglin, Director of the Hangzhou Bearing Testing Research Center, Ma Zikui and Li Yiwen from Schaeffler Shanghai Technology Center participated in the exchange activities. This visit was an important event of the Tribology Branch of the Zhejiang Mechanical Engineering Society.
After the talks, Mr. MARTIN gave an academic report titled "Overview of Rolling Bearing Analysis in the Industry" to teachers and students. The report was profound and focused on the forefront of global bearing technology, warmly welcomed by the faculty and students. Professor Wu reported on our institute's latest research achievements in the field of rolling bearings and had in-depth discussions with Mr. MARTIN and his team on cutting-edge technologies in rolling bearing simulation and calculation.
This visit not only strengthened cooperation between the institute and Schaeffler Group in scientific research and talent cultivation but also laid a solid foundation for in-depth exchanges in intelligent manufacturing, tribology, and advanced bearing technologies. Both parties agreed to further deepen cooperation in industry-university-research integration, joint innovation platform construction, and talent training in the future, jointly promoting the development of bearing technology and industrial upgrading, and supporting the high-quality development of the intelligent manufacturing industry.
